Alexandria Perkins

Alex Perkins is one of Australia’s brightest swimming talents, renowned for her powerful butterfly stroke and rapid rise on the international stage. Growing up on the Sunshine Coast, Queensland, she began her journey in the pool at a young age and has quickly developed into a celebrated member of Team Australia.

She made her senior international debut at the 2022 Commonwealth Games, reaching individual finals and claiming gold as part of the mixed medley relay squad.

At the Paris 2024 Olympics, Perkins competed in the women’s 100m butterfly, advancing to the semi-finals with a time of 57.46 in her heat. She also played a pivotal role in the women’s 4×100m medley relay, swimming in the heats that helped secure Australia’s path to the final, where the team won silver—earning her a place on the podium.

Her momentum continued in July 2025 at the World Aquatics Championships in Singapore, where she captured her first individual world medal with a bronze in the 100m butterfly (56.33). Notably, she also set a new personal best of 56.19 in the semi-finals, underlining her growing status among the world’s elite.

Alex’s journey from Queensland’s Sunshine Coast to international podiums is a testament to her dedication, strength, and determination.
