Cortnee Vine made her professional football debut for Brisbane Roar on 25 October 2015, at just 16 years of age. She went on to make seven appearances during the 2015–16 W-League season before continuing her career with Western Sydney Wanderers and the Newcastle Jets. In 2020, she found her home at Sydney FC, becoming one of the club’s standout performers.
Her domestic career has been marked by highlights including the 2019 Dolan Warren “Goal of the Year” Award and helping Sydney FC to multiple A-League Women’s Premierships and Championships.
In 2024, she took the next step in her career by signing a three-year contract with North Carolina Courage in the National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL), showcasing her talent on the international club stage.
On the international front, Vine first wore the green and gold with the Young Matildas, before earning her senior debut against the Philippines at the 2022 AFC Women’s Asian Cup.
She cemented her place in Australian sporting history at the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup, where her now-iconic penalty sent the Matildas into the semi-finals in front of millions of fans.
In 2024, Vine marked another career milestone, representing Australia at her first Olympic Games in Paris, continuing her rise as one of the Matildas’ most dynamic attacking threats.
